Rachel grew up in a small town in Northern NJ about a half an hour away from "The Big Apple." She was born into a very musical family. On her mother's side, her grandfather was a pianist, composer, conductor of his own orchestras, and attended Julliard. Her Grandmother was a singer who won many competitions and played piano. (That is actually how they met.) Her Aunt worked at ABC Music Publishing for 30+ years. On her father's side, Rachel's uncle played saxophone and was the musical director for a USA Navy cruise ship. Being continuously surrounded with such a musical family, it is no wonder why Rachel realized what her passion was at the tender age of 2.

Rachel has been performing all of her life. She has 12+ years of musical theatre training, 15+ years of Bel Canto singing training, 10+ years of Theater/On-Camera acting training (Film, TV, Soap, Cold Reading, Improv), 8+ years Stanislavski and Chekhov acting training, and 6 years of dance (tap/jazz/hip-hop). Rachel has also starred in 40+ musicals, 20+ Off-Broadway Cabarets, and originated the role of Antigone in Oedipus: The Musical Concept CD (Tribeca Studios/NYC). She has been seen on television, in short films, music videos, commercials, and has performed with many people in the business including Grammy Award Winners/Nominees.

Rachel has studied at some of NYC's and NJ's most well respected schools such as ACTeen (Weist-Barron); TVI Studios; Actor's Connection; The Network (The Barrow Group Theatre); Broadway Dance Center; Robin Horneff's Performing Arts Center; Carol Baskinger's Dance Designs; Action Theatre Conservatory, and Act II Performing Arts Center. She is currently training and has studied with renowned casting directors, agents, performers, composers, directors, and instructors including Judy Hages (Bel Canto Voice), Dave Clemmons (David Clemmons Casting), Pasek and Paul (Benj Pase and Justin Paul), Michael Laibson (Emmy Winning Director), Jamibeth Margolis (CD), Brette Goldstein (CD), Adam Reid (Award Winning Director), B. Lynne Jebens (CD), Mark Simon (Mark Simon Casting), Eric Woodall (Tara Ruben Casting), Lisa Tracy, Kathleen Kalleigh, Joel Robertson, Ron MacFarland, and many more.

When Rachel isn't performing, she is a voice, acting, and performance technique teacher. She has 8+ years of teaching experience teaching children, teens, and adults (ages 8+). She currently has 20+ private students and teaches 3 different performance classes in her home studio Called "The Menconi Performance Studio".

Rachel is not just any singer/actress/songwriter. She is an all around entertainer striving for excellence. Rachel is always working on various musical projects. It seems that when one project ends, another is beginning or being performed. Rachel is the Founder/President of a theatre/production company called Sunshine Face Productions.

Rachel is a member of BMI, and is the President/Founder of a music publishing company called Sunshine Face. She has written 52+ songs and is currently working on a cover album and her first original album. Rachel has been working very closely with 7 time Grammy Award Nominee producer and pianist Haim Cotton on both of these albums. Oz Noy, NYC's top studio guitarist, is playing on Rachel's single "Don't Even Try" which is part of her soon to be released original album.
